The San Bernardino shooting is America's fault, according to Obama - James Longstreet

by James Longstreet

Is this a gun problem or an immigration problem that allows entry into our country of groups that hate America?

Already, à la the Skip Gates-Officer Crowley rush to judgment, the president is quick to explain that these shootings happen more in the United States than in any other developed country.  He goes on to explain how our country needs tighter gun laws.  The conclusion and where the fault lies is subliminally offered by the president.

Remarkable.

This is not the movie theater-type shooting, nor is it a mental patient.  Based on current information, this was a planned event conducted by a three-man paramilitary-outfitted group.  Obama's response is the same, but the situation is so different.  How can that be?

Maybe, Mr. President, we need laws that keep people out of our country who want to kill the people in this country.  Immigration laws leap to mind.  Is the president suggesting that terrorists would be curtailed and eradicated by tighter gun controls?  Or is it the old "don't let a crisis go to waste" game, in which one rushes to the mantra of tougher gun laws as a solution to these types of shootings?

There are too many enclaves and unassimilated groups in this country that do not like this country, and that is the root of this type of shooting.  Multiculturalism is a failure, and the hatred of America seems to be a new sport, partially sponsored in Washington, D.C.

Here is Obama in reaction to the San Bernardino shooting:
President Barack Obama on Wednesday said a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, is part of a deadly "pattern" of gun violence that has "no parallel in the world."
In a brief preview of an interview with CBS that was set to air on Thursday morning, Obama reiterated his call for increased gun-safety laws, stronger background checks, and a ban on gun purchases for people on the TSA's no-fly list.
"The one thing we do know is that we have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world," Obama said in the interview, which was conducted shortly after he was briefed by his Homeland Security Adviser on the situation.
"We should come together on a bipartisan basis at every level to make these rare as opposed to normal," he added. "We should never think that this is something that just happen in the ordinary course of events because this doesn't happen with the same frequency in other countries."
Is this a gun problem or a terrorist problem?  Is this a gun problem or an immigration problem that allows entry into our country of groups that hate America?  Are we under attack, and if so, how do stricter gun laws play into our protection?

Don't be so quick with the snap judgments, Mr. President.  You are quick to say you can't comment on "ongoing investigations" when it is convenient, but you rush to the microphone when it fits your agenda.
