Cops assassinated: the result of allowing an evil lie to grow - Lloyd Marcus

by Lloyd Marcus

From Sharpton's horrific hate- and violence-inspiring Tawana Brawley hoax, his anti-Semitic rabble-rousing that led to the murder of a Jewish man and another man mistaken for Jewish in Crown Heights, and his latest race-baiting exploits, for decades, this evil man has been a destructive, painful boil on the derrière of America.

My 86-year-old black dad called me at home in Florida from his home in Maryland to inform me that Mr. Rice died.  Over 40 years ago, Mr. Rice coached my younger brothers David and Allen in Optimist League kids football.  Mr. Rice also started a basketball league in which he coached my brothers.

Dad said back in those days, racism was the norm.  And yet Mr. Rice, a white man, took my brothers under his wing.  Dad said you cannot raise your kids all by yourself.  He felt that Mr. Rice had contributed to making my brothers responsible men.

Walking in Mr. Rice's footsteps, my brother David has coached kids' football for the past 40 years.  My brother Allen is a decorated state trooper who is active in youth mentoring programs.  Dad has been and still is a Christian minister, currently the pastor of four churches.  I told dad that while David, Allen, and I did not become preachers like him, we are all involved in various forms of ministry.  I unquestionably view my work in politics as chairman of the Conservative Campaign Committee as my ministry.

Dad said the Rice family informed him that Mr. Rice requested that my brother David be a pallbearer and that my dad give the eulogy.  Dad and David are extremely honored.

This wonderful example of Americans of different races, Mr. Rice and my dad, coming together over 40 years ago, finding common ground and mutual respect, is not particularly unique.  Dad's call came on the heels of vile, evil talking heads all over TV spreading the lie that race relations in America have progressed very little since the 1950s and that police regularly murder blacks.

It has been extremely troubling, watching the left's narrative/lie – that blacks are routinely murdered by cops – allowed to grow and gain momentum.  Not only has this deplorable, divisive narrative/lie gone unchallenged, but it has been insidiously nurtured by the mainstream media, Al Sharpton, the DOJ's Eric Holder, and President Obama.
Leaders like NY mayor de Blasio conceding the point that cops do mistreat blacks, their pandering and appeasing, only embolden hate-filled anti-police protesters to behave lawlessly.  NY protesters were allowed to close down streets, which endangered lives by blocking emergency vehicles from servicing the public.

Rather than pandering to the evil lie, former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani is one of the few voices boldly pushing back.  Giuliani says the notion that cops routinely abuse blacks is absurd.  Giuliani pointed out that if these so-called leaders really cared about blacks, they would focus on the 92% of the time that blacks are killed by other blacks rather than the 1% when a black is killed by a cop.  Giuliani also pointed out that in reality, police are the ones who are saving black lives in violent black neighborhoods.

I could hardly believe it when I learned that thousands of police protesters marched down NY streets chanting, “What do we want?  Dead cops!  When do we want it?  Now!”  This is what happens when an evil lie is allowed to take root – when it is watered, nurtured, and encouraged to grow.

Such public hatred for police could lead to only one logical conclusion.  Two NYPD officers were assassinated while working overtime to protect the public – both shot in the head, sitting in their squad cars, blindsided during their lunch break.  The officers' names are Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.

Ismaaiyl Brinsley, the 28-year-old black gunman, boasted via social media that he killed officers Ramos and Liu as revenge for the deaths of Mike Brown and Eric Garner.  Brinsley posted on Instagram“I'm putting wings on pigs today. They take 1 of ours...let's take 2 of theirs.”

Here is the extremely eloquent and moving tribute to his dad that 13-year-old Jaden Ramos, the son of one of the assassinated police officers, posted on Facebook.
Today, I had to said bye to my father. He was there for me every day of my life. He was the best father I could ask for. It's horrible someone gets shot dead just for being a police officer. Everyone says they hate cops but they are the people that they call for help. I will always love you and I will never forget you. RIP Dad.
Al Sharpton is a vile, disgusting, and despicable human being.  How much longer will we allow the hate-filled pus-like bile coming out of his mouth to go unchallenged?  Where are the voices pushing back at sponsors of Sharpton's show on MSNBC, the national hate network?  From Sharpton's horrific hate- and violence-inspiring Tawana Brawley hoax, his anti-Semitic rabble-rousing that led to the murder of a Jewish man and another man mistaken for Jewish in Crown Heights, and his latest race-baiting exploits, for decades, this evil man has been a destructive, painful boil on the derrière of America.

The mindset of allowing the “cops murder blacks” narrative/lie of the MSM, Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, Obama, and the police protesters to go unchallenged is extremely dangerous.  It is also disheartening, immoral, and extremely destructive that these same leftist operatives promote the narrative/lie that America is institutionally racist.

Please forgive me for once again using this often used quote by Edmund Burke.  “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”

My fellow Americans, we vastly outnumber the dividers and haters.  Let us band together, pushing back against the evil forces hell-bent on tearing our great nation apart.

My wife Mary and I chatted about how while racism was alive and well in our youth forty years ago, good people on both sides found common ground and worked together for change.  While Mr. Rice was a good white man, I knew many good white folks like him who tried to do the right thing.  This is why is it so despicable and painful, witnessing leftist evil operatives purposely destroying hard-earned gains in national race relations.

It is way past time that the hate-spewing Al Sharpton and his evil associates be given the hook off the national stage.  If not, more assassinations of police and assaults on white Americans are inevitable.
